Uzgen Archaeological and Architectural Museum Complex is a historical monument to the Karakhanid Empire of the 10th -12th centuries. This period, according to historians, was the peak of development of Uzgen town.
The Uzgen Museum Complex consists of four historical and archaeological monuments. The minaret, built in the 12th century, takes a special place among them. Initially, the building was 40 meters high, but due to an earthquake that occurred in the 19th century, part of the tower was destroyed. The complex was restored in 1923. The actual height of the minaret is 27 meters.
There are also three mausoleums on the territory of the complex, where the remains of the rulers of the Karakhanid period are kept.
