The Karavshin gorge is called “the Asian Patagonia”, but it is much larger. Karavshin is located on the Turkestan range, which has an amazing shape in this place. The pointed marble peaks are like giant crystals, and the sheer cliffs reach the height of 5,500 meters. The highest point of Batken region - Piramidalny Peak is located here.
The gorge is located in a remote mountainous area where there is no road. Walk from the nearest village to the gorge can take two days. But the difficulties of the route are compensated by comfortable weather, gorgeous mixed forests and fast-flowing rivers.
