The height of Kalmak-Ashuu Pass is 3,500 meters above the sea level, and therefore theroad through it is open only in summer and autumn. The rest of the time the pass remains impassable due to heavy snows. On the way to it, the traveler will go through stone deserts and endless alpine meadows, decorated with rare alpine edelweiss.
But the beauty doesn't end there. Having got through the pass, you will find yourself in another miraculously beautiful place - Son-Kul Lake, the second largest in Kyrgyz Republic.
