Teshik-Kul lake is divided into two parts, which are located at different heights, and are connected by a waterfall. The water in the lake is milky blue. Its shore offers a magnificent view of the mountain glacier, which feeds the lake. Teshik-Kul has an underground runoff, and the water comes out of it directly from the ground just below the lake itself.
There are many pastures in the lake area. From June to September, tourists can combine extreme tourism with cultural one. Here you can chat with shepherds and drink kumis.
Teshik-Kul lake is a hard-to-reach alpine lake located at an altitude of 3,500 meters above the sea level, located 38 kilometers from Bokonbaevo village.
